Create a New Virtual Machine

  • Open VMware Workstation Pro.
  • Click Create a New Virtual Machine.
  • Choose Typical (recommended) and click Next.
  • Select Installer disc image file (iso) and browse to the Windows Server 2025 ISO.
  • Choose the Guest OS version as Windows Server 2022 x64 (until VMware updates to list 2025).
  • Set a name and location for your VM.
  • Allocate at least 4 GB RAM and 2 CPUs.
  • Create a virtual disk (recommended: 60 GB or more).
  • Finish setup and power on the VM.

Start the Installation

  • Press any key to start the installation.

Step 1. Open the Server Manager.
